A submission to the local paper

In January 2014, I charged Shou Vang with assault in the second degree, for reversing his vehicle in the direction of Brooklyn Park police officer Jason Chadbourne, after law enforcement responded to a fight that had broken out at a banquet hall. The case was investigated by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, and as I reviewed interview transcripts and consulted with law enforcement and colleagues, the defendant lay in a hospital bed, having sustained serious injuries from multiple gunshot wounds. He ultimately lost a kidney.
