Hey Debbie, put that sweatshirt and Peruvian sweater into your camper as well! You'd be surprised how often I needed warm clothing when I was camping around the U.S.

Good idea, but I’ve got lots of warm clothing that I like much better and wear more frequently! These are headed to the Goodwill where I hope someone will get good use out of them. 😊

I can so relate to your Peruvian sweater. I bought a beautiful one for my son who never wore it. I eventually gave it to a homeless man downtown St. Paul!

"I might need that someday." How many times have I heard myself saying that to myself? And then, over time, some I did and some I didn't and yes, I still have them too. I am reluctant to surrender an old pair of favorite L. L. Bean boots, the ones with the rubber bottoms and leather tops. Whoever has to go through my closets and drawers when I leave this stuff all behind will inevitably ask, "I wonder why he kept this?" Loved your story. Happy trails to you... G/

I’m more of the keeper who can never lay my hands on an old item when I want to repurpose. Now I’m starting to say…even if I might need this someday, I won’t find it. Get rid of it now. One thing that has helped is putting nicer items for sale on marketplace. If I get $15 for a $75 item, somehow my brain feels like I did good. I got rid of something. I made $$. Even though the dollar amount is insignificant. It’s a psych thing 😂
