Totally understood. I got counsel from a valued source and I ended up expressing my concerns directly to F.P. I received a sincere apology, along with a recognition of the boundary violation and that is good enough for me...for now. :)
Back when I voted for Trump in 2016, I agreed with Dr. Robert Jeffress, the politically conservative Baptist minister, who said, “Liberals take Trump literally, but not seriously…Conservatives take Trump seriously, but not literally.” I realize now that he and I were suspending our disbelief. Jeffress still supports Trump. What’s obvious to me now is how Trump carefully serves his allusions to truth along with his outright attack against anyone who opposes him. Those of us who see the difference need to speak up going forward, not by attacking back, but instead by casting light on the real truth, using the tools of logic and the strength of legal argument to establish the undeniable reality of what’s really going on. Unfortunately, most of the liberal media has responded to Trump in an equally disgusting fashion, causing pro-Trumpers to dismiss every argument they’ve made…it’s the converse…it’s the suspension of liberal truth because of the way it’s been inhumanly served.
Bottom line: You’re on to it, Debbie…you’re getting it, and it’s causing me to think. This thesis needs more time.
Scott, thank you so much for your comment and for your subscription upgrade! It means so much to me. As a fellow writer, you know that being able to share our craft with others is the reward in and of itself. In the end, we all have a unique perspective, and being able to communicate these perspectives safely is my end goal.
Thanks Debbie, I appreciate your work, and more, appreciate you❤️
Back atcha my dear friend! <3
Are you sticking with FP? I find walking away from people who openly regurgitate the misinformation best for my mental health.
